Six Years Delivering Continuing Health Care Education

Developed and delivered public and private seminars and lectures on mind-body medicine and medical ethics. Wrote op-ed and research articles for peer-reviewed medical journals and other journals of health care.

August 2003 – present: Seligman Medical Institute, Foundation Coordinator. Editing and analysis for peer-reviewed medical journals on mind-body interventions for back pain; coordinated study of doctors new to mind-body techniques in this area; managed publicity and fund-raising for a private, non-profit research foundation.

Twenty-six Years as a Professional Trainer in Private Industry

1987 – Present: Self-Employed, Director, RobinArt & Associates

Designed and conducted seminars and lectures as described in this Web site. Implemented and managed a cross-platform network to support graphics applications. Produced an e-book CD with its own Web-based user interface. Managed a computer training program for PC applications. Set up PC and Macintosh desktop publishing computer systems. Designed and wrote software manuals. Designed, wrote, and prepared training materials for popular microcomputer applications. Conducted classes for NT certification prep, as well as applications software. Scripted and produced training and promotional videos. Wrote text for brochures, advertisements, and other promotional materials. Edited promotional newsletters.

1993 – 1997: Compulink Management Center, Inc., Torrance, CA.

Designed and conducted nationwide educational and marketing seminars for Novell and Hewlett-Packard. Provided telephone and on-site technical support. Produced videos, tested software, wrote manuals and promotional materials on Windows-based document imaging software. Trained dealers, end users, and system administrators on the same software. Installed and administered client-server document imaging systems on NetWare and NT server platforms.

1983 – 1987: XOR Data Science, Inc., Huntington Beach, CA.

1986 – 1987: Documentation Specialist and Advertising Manager for XOR's Soft*Rite Multi-user Systems. Wrote, edited, laid out, and typeset a complete software manual for a multi-user BASIC and two related utilities. Some applications programming in BASIC. Also designed, laid out, and typeset business forms and ads for microcomputer manufacturing and software development products.

1983 – 1986: Director of Video and Audio Tape Productions for XOR's Multimedia Interactive Training Systems, Inc. Directed, narrated, and wrote scripts for 32 hours of video and interactive video training tapes, as well as 16 hours of interactive audio tapes, on popular applications.

1982 – 1983: Computer Instructor, Tandy/Radio Shack Computer Centers

Taught classes in programming, operations, and applications at the Lakewood and Irvine computer centers.
